Bringing the digital to life? (and a giveaway)

I will close this contest Friday, January 27, 2012 at 5pm EST.

Though I decided not to even attempt the popular Monthly Baby Photos given my lack of consistency in all things, I do take a fair number of photos of my kiddo. I mean, the dude is cute!

But adding to the list of Things I Wish I Did Better is getting photos off my phone or camera onto some form of display. Problem is that framing photos takes so many decisions, and I reserve my limited decision-making capacity for more important things like which new baby gadget we should buy.

Cue Easy Canvas Prints.

Canvases can be hung on a simple nail, don’t require decisions other than size, and are safe if they fall off the wall – no glass to shatter. They can be propped up on a mantel or table and somehow just aren’t as “precious” as an expensive frame while still being presentable.

Someday, perhaps when I find a well of consistency hidden deep within, I’ll create a photo wall of canvases. In the meantime, perhaps I can manage to just pick one a month.

  1. My mom bought us a photo canvas for our wedding and I love the idea! I also have a ton of frames that have been waiting for months to be filled.

  2. ooh, I want one. we are having a baby any day now! up until now I’ve mostly done photo books from MyPublisher but we need more for the walls.

  3. I have been TERRIBLE about printing/displaying pictures of my little guy. However, I did manage to make a photo book of his first 4 months. We’ll see if I can get it together to do the second four 🙂

  4. We’ve been ordering prints and putting them into Ikea frames, but it’s definitely hard to get it all together. The canvas print looks great!

  5. I usually hoard pictures on the computer but I’ve been vigilant about printing one a month for her baby book. (Her first birthday is tomorrow!) And I’m trying to put together a slideshow for her birthday party. It’s so hard to narrow things down! I could end up with a slideshow that lasted an hour and a half (but am forcing 5 minutes).

  6. I have zero non-digital pictures of my 3-month-old dude – and about a thousand digital ones. I’m thinking a photobook for his first year, but I’d love a canvas… such a great idea!

  7. I am absolutely horrible at actually printing out our pictures so I send the good ones to my mom and pray that she prints them out for us 🙂

  8. I haven’t actually figured out how to get my pictures out of digital form. I’ve printed a few and scrapbooked them, but otherwise I just haven’t dealt with it. I hope I get better about it once the baby is here.
